Feinting is a tactical maneuver employed by skilled combatants to deceive and outmaneuver their opponents in battle and enables characters to create openings and exploit weaknesses in their adversary's defenses through cunning and strategic misdirection.
Characters proficient in Feinting utilize subtle movements, false attacks, and feigned strikes to deceive their opponents and provoke reactions. By presenting a false threat or telegraphing an attack, combatants aim to elicit a defensive response from their opponent, such as a parry or dodge, thereby creating an opening for a follow-up attack or countermove. Feinting serves as a psychological tactic, exploiting the opponent's expectations and reactions to gain a tactical advantage in combat.
Mastery of the Feint skill requires not only agility and precision but also keen observation and anticipation of the opponent's movements and reactions. Skilled practitioners of Feinting possess the ability to read their opponent's intentions, anticipate their responses, and manipulate their actions through subtle feints and deceptive movements.
Feint makes use of agility, dexterity, and to a lesser degree intelligence.
