Weather in Brightfell

Post by Nauth »

In Brightfell, the weather shifts distinctly with the seasons.

Spring: Cool and damp, with frequent showers that leave the ground soft and muddy. Mornings often bring mist, and the chill lingers in the air even as the days slowly warm. Breezes carry the scent of wet earth and fresh growth.

Summer: Mild compared to harsher climates, with warm days that rarely become oppressive. Evenings cool quickly, and the wind picks up near dusk. While the occasional rainstorm sweeps through, the season is mostly dry, with only light showers breaking up stretches of clear skies.

Autumn: Chilly and often wet, with gray skies hanging low over the land. Rain becomes more frequent, sometimes lasting for days at a time. The wind turns sharp, carrying the scent of damp leaves and distant storms. The first touches of frost begin creeping in at night.

Winter: Harsh and biting, with frequent snowfall blanketing the ground. Storms roll in unpredictably, bringing heavy snow or freezing rain that coats everything in ice. The air is dry and sharp, making exposed skin sting. On clearer nights, the temperature plunges below freezing, and the land is left eerily silent under the weight of the cold.

In all seasons, the wind is a constant presence, sometimes nothing more than a whisper, other times a cutting force that makes the cold bite even deeper. Those in Brightfell would be wise to prepare for sudden shifts in weather, particularly in the colder months when storms can arrive with little warning.
